Although ABQ got it’s first snow of the winter season a few days before Thanksgiving, it snowed again today. Yay for snow! I’m from Arkansas so I am used to it snowing in late January-February. And by snow, I mean a few flurries and school is out. Haha. So I am looking forward to a few feet this year in New Mexico. Plus I get to go skiing for the first time, yippie I get to fall on my ass…or face.

For winter outfits, I like to start with basic pieces then add layers. By adding layers you’re not only adding warmth, but you’re creating more depth and interest to your outfit. From blah to wearable. This is also a good tip when you can’t find anything in your closet to wear. Add a cardigan, belt, fedora, scarf, and studded booties – and your outfit is now Pinable {so cute people will pin it on Pinterest!}

Today’s Outfit:
Red Beanie – Walmart
Taupe Cardigan – New York and Co.
3/4 Star Wars tee – Thrifted from the Goodwill
Leopard Leggings – Ross
Black Suede Boots – Tj Maxx
Black Leather Bomber Jacket – Ross

Makeup:
Foundation – Estée Lauder Double Wear
Blush – Milani Baked Blush in ‘corallina’
Contour – Maybelline Fit Me stick in 330
Eyeshadow – Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette in ‘stash’ and Makeup Geek in ‘beaches n creme’ and MAC in ‘texture’
{watch Jaclyn Hill’s “wearable green eyeshadow” video on YouTube for the look}
Lipstick – WetnWild in ‘bare it all’ and BareMinerals Moxie lipgloss in ‘smooth talker’

Time to cozy up on the couch and eat a bowl of southern style chili, and watch the premier of Courtney Kerr’s, ‘Courtney Loves Dallas’ on Bravo! Sounds like a good Thursday to me! 🙂
